Wanted Male Arrested After Getting Stuck In Snowbank

(South Huron, ON) On December 7, 2010 at approximately 4:15 pm, a Huron OPP officer responded to one of many reports of vehicles stuck in the snow. Upon arrival, the officer observed that the involved vehicle had been damaged when it struck a snow bank. While investigating the collision, the officer determined that one of the male occupants was the subject of an arrest warrant. The male tried to falsely identify himself to police but he was not successful. While being searched after he was arrested, the officer located a quantity of narcotics in his pocket.

As a result of the investigation, a 23 year old South Huron male is presently in custody facing one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule III and one count of Personating with Intent to Gain Advantage. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on December 8, 2010.
