Thefts from motor vehicles

The Guelph Police have received multiple reports of thefts from cars over the last few days. Police received three reports from one Gordon Street South parking lot during the day time on December 4. In those incidents, purses were stolen from unlocked cars. In another incident, in the area of Kortright Road by the Hanlon, a vehicle had a window smashed and a cell phone and wallet stolen. Other locations reporting thefts from cars include Baxter Street, Burke Court, Summerfield Drive and Mountford Drive.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars and by keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle.
