(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On December 18th, 2010 at 6:41 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a crash along Whitechurch Street involving a snowmobile and a dog. Caller reports the family was playing with the dog when it was struck by a snowmobile travelling at a high rate of speed along Whitechurch Street. The collision caused the death of the 2 year old black lab. The South Bruce OPP is urging the snowmobile driver to come forward and report the crash to police. Anyone with information on the dark colored snowmobile, with fresh damage, is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers. Snowmobile operators are reminded that a snowmobile must not travel more than 20 km/h where the posted limit is 50 km/h.
