(Goderich, ON) On December 18, 2010 shortly after noon, Huron OPP officers received a call from Walmart reporting that they had a female in custody for theft. The female had been observed by the loss prevention officer removing price tags from items and placing them in her bag. The female then attempted to exit the building when she was stopped by the store staff member. She was detained until police arrived on scene.
As a result of the investigation, including information received from the Loss Prevention staff member, Danielle LAPLANTE (50) of Goderich is now facing one count of Theft Under $5,000. She will answer to her charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 14, 2011.
