Ottawa Police seeks assistance in solving a violent robbery

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving the violent robbery of a pedestrian.

On December 10, 2013, at approximately 4:45 pm, a lone male was walking in the area of Percy/James when he was confronted by a lone male suspect. A demand was made for money. When the victim refused to comply, the suspect stabbed the victim twice to the arm with a syringe. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The 35 year old victim was transported to hospital and will have to undergo extensive treatments over the next four weeks.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, between 25-35 years of age, 5’10(178 cm) to 5’11(180 cm) tall, English speaking, short hair with orange/blondish tuft of hair sticking out from under the hoodie” he was wearing. He had a thin
