Flame Of Hope Headed To Huron County Next Week

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run will be making its annual trek into Huron County next week and everyone is invited to come out and participate in this fantastic event.

Special Olympians, police officers, family members, friends and community supporters from all over Huron County will run, walk, stroll together on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018 in an effort to promote awareness and raise funds for Special Olympics Ontario.

2018 marks the 31st anniversary of the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR). Since its inception in Ontario in 1987, the LETR has raised more than $35,000,000 and has changed millions of attitudes.

This is a day I very much look forward to every year. We have had rainy days and bright sunny days but no matter the weather I know I’m always going to leave filled with feelings of joy. Just being around the athletes and seeing the smiling faces from all of the participants is a very rewarding feeling. I encourage you to come out and join in on the fun; I guarantee you will get to meet some amazing people and will leave with a smile on your face”.
