On the afternoon of 25 December 2013 a 20 year old Owen Sound male was walking in the 1300 block of 4th Avenue West. The 20 year old was approached by a 22 year old Owen Sound male known to him. After some conversation the 22 year old male requested the male’s money. Because of the threat of violence through intimidation the 20 year old handed over $175.00.
The 20 year old victim reported the incident to police who began an investigation. The 22 year male was subsequently arrested without incident of the 26th of December 2013. The accused male is being held for bail on a charge of Robbery contrary to section 344(b) of the Criminal Code. There were no injuries sustained by the victim.
