Barrie Police responded to a call on Bayfield Street regarding the theft of a purse. Unfortunately, there is no suspect information for this theft at present. The female victim was shopping and putting items into her vehicle when some unidentified person(s) took her purse undetected. This occurrence is currently under investigation.
Police just want to remind the public to be so careful with purses, wallets and items that can be stolen so quickly, escpecially at this time of year when people are desperate for cash and will commit criminal offences to get what they want without any concern for others.
