A large contingent of officers from the Barrie Police Service took part in the RIDE program for New Years Eve. The officers attended several high volume traffic locations and a total of 436 vehicles were stopped. As a result 19 roadside tests were performed. No arrests were made although 4 three day suspensions were issued and 2 probationary drivers received 12 hour suspensions for consumption of alcohol.
