In relation to the stabbing at 760 Viscount Road on the afternoon of January 2, 2014:
Major Crime Section members continue to investigate an assault in which an adult female was stabbed resulting in serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She remains in hospital.
At about 12:30pm a neighbour reported the disturbance to police, who arrived to find an adult male suspect had fallen or jumped from a third storey window at that location. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was arrested and remains in custody at hospital pending further investigation.
The male and female are known to each other and police are not seeking other suspects at this time. The incident is being investigated as an act of domestic violence. No charges have been laid at this time and the matter remains under investigation.
