Huron County Road Closure Update – Many Still Closed

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has now opened up several roadways within Huron County. Although most roadways are open and passable for travel please remember weather and road conditions can change quickly. Some sections of the roadways are still very icy and snow covered with possible drifting.

Please exercise caution on your travels.

The following roadways remain closed within Huron County.

Provincial Highway 21 (Bluewater Veterans Highway)

Provincial Highway 8 (Huron Road)

Provincial Highway 4

County Road 86 (Amberley Road) from Wingham to Highway 21

County Road 20 (Belgrave Road) from Belgrave to Highway 21

County Road 1 (Lucknow Line) from Carlow to Lucknow

County Road 25 (Blyth Road) from Auburn to Blyth

Snow removal crews are working to remove large drifts on the closed roadways. Further updates will be provided as conditions change.

Motorists are reminded to respect the road closure signs that are in place. Driving on a closed road is an offence under the Highway Traffic Act that carries a $110 fine and three demerit points upon conviction.
