(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On Thursday 9th January 2014 at approximately 11:00 a.m., Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a driver of a motor vehicle travelling on Highway 21, Saugeen First Nation Territory, for a seatbelt violation.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle while being disqualified from doing so.
Casey James RITCHIE, age 43, of Saugeen First Nation Territory, is charged with the criminal offences of Driving While Disqualified and 2 counts of Driving While Under Suspension. He is also charged with Driver – Fail to Properly Wear Seat Belt under the Highway Traffic Act. His vehicle was impounded for 90 days.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Walkerton on Monday, February 10, 2014.
