On January 5th, 2014 members of the community patrol division attended an address in Tilbury regarding a Break and Enter complaint. The complainants garage door was forced open resulting in a quantity of valuable bicycles and related equipment being stolen from the property.
Yesterday afternoon police were advised of a male attempting to pawn expensive bicycle wheels. A short time later officer located an 18 year old Chatham male in the area of King Street and Fifth Street with the bicycle wheels in his possession.
Investigation revealed the bicycle wheels in the male’s possession matched those of the previously reported Break and Enter. As a result the male was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000.00. He was released with a future court date.
