(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)wish to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the recent thefts from vehicles in the town of Wiarton.
Danielle Kimberlie NELLES, 21, of South Bruce Peninsula, is charged with theft under $5,000 from a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property. She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Some of the stolen property was returned to the lawful owners.
On January 14, 2014 between the hours of 9:00am and 1:00pm, multiple vehicles were entered in the area of Mary Street, Gould Street, George Street and Berford Street in the town of Wiarton. Quantities of loose coins, cellphones and remote garage door openers were taken from these unlocked vehicles.
The suspect that was observed trying to enter vehicles was a lone white female approximately 15-18 years old with a light blue winter jacket (hood up) and red gloves.
The Bruce Peninsula OPP is encouraging residents to contact the police if they find that their vehicle has been entered and report any suspicious activity observed.
