(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday January 29, 2011, after 2 a.m., a Perth County OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 23 north of Atwood. The female driver was given a roadside breath test which she failed. She was driven to the OPP detachment in Palmerston where she also failed the Intoxilyzer breath test.
Amanda Lorenz (20) from Minto Twp. was subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. She is to appear in Listowel criminal court on February 16, 2011 to answer to this charge. She was served a 90 day drivers licence suspension, and her vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
