Barrie Police officers responded to a family dispute on Amelia Street.The officers were advised that the victims daughter had returned home in an intoxicated state. She became confrontational to her 80 yr old victim and commenced to push her around and throw things at her. The victim ran from the apartment to tell the superintendent. The victim returned to the apartment to see if her daughter was still there. Once again the 52 yr old female started to push the victim around to the point where she fell onto the couch. The suspect then threw the phone in the direction of the victim causing it to be damaged. The suspect eventually left the apartment at which time the victim noticed her visa card was sticking out of her rear pocket.
Police located the suspect in another apartment and arrested her for assault and mischief. Upon searching the female they discovered the stolen credit card. The accused was transported to the station and held for a bail hearing on the above-mentioned charges including possession of a stolen credit card.
