cThe Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman for impaired driving in Dover Township last night.
Around 8:30 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Bearline Road. The woman lost control of her vehicle and became stuck in a ditch. Neither the woman nor her passenger was injured.
Through investigation, the officer believed the woman was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested. The woman was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
The 50-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit. She remains in police custody this morning.
The female passenger was also arrested for being intoxicated as she was unable to care for herself. The 43-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She also remains in police custody this morning.
