Police and Fire investigators are continuing the investigation into a house fire on Huron Road in Wilmot Township. Investigators from the General Investigations / Detective office are currently working with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the fire. On January 28th, 2014 a fire started in a home on Huron Road near Haysville Road in Wilmot Township. At 12:40 a.m. , a neighbour notified Emergency Services after he noticed the house fully engulfed. Wilmot Township Fire Department extinguished the fire. The home owner was not at home when the fire occurred. Damage to the house is extensive. No one was injured as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The Ontario Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate.
