(LUCAN-BIDDULPH, ON) – One male driver has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Whalen Line and Highway 23 in Lucan-Biddulph Township.
On Wednesday January 29, 2014 at approximately 11:08 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), fire crews and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the collision. The OPP has learned that the collision involved a sport utility vehicle (SUV)` with two occupants travelling eastbound on Whalen Line and a cargo van with one occupant travelling northbound on Highway 23.
The adult male driver of the SUV sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. The adult male passenger was transported by land ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The adult male driver of the van sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene.
The vehicles have since been towed from the scene and the investigation is continuing.
