(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday morning February 13, 2011, Perth County OPP officers were requested to attend at a rural pig barn along Line 66, north west of Monkton from which some tools were reported stolen.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 11 p.m. on Saturday February 12 and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday February 13, 2011 entry was made into the victims pig barn and the following tools were removed. Two DeWalt 18 volt drills with battery packs, a TC 15 Hilti hammer drill, a 24 volt battery and battery charger.
The barn had also been entered on January 31, 2011 and two 18 volt, DeWalt drills were taken at that time.
The tools stolen this past weekend were new as they replaced the tools stolen on January 31st..
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have information about this theft to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or to call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). They are also reminding rural property owners to lock their sheds and barns, mark their tools and record serial numbers of their tools and equipment.
