(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday morning, February 12, 2011, around 1:30 a.m., Perth County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE check at the intersection of Mitchell Rd. (Hwy. 23), and Main St. West in Listowel. A car was stopped, the driver was spoken to and a roadside breath test was conducted which the driver failed. The male driver was transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel where he also failed the Intoxilyzer breath test.
Joshua Bell (19) of the Municipality of West Perth was charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is to appear in Listowel Criminal Court on March 02, 2011 to answer to this charge. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension, and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
