Theft Under

Barrie Police responded to a shoplifter at the Walmart on Bayfield St. The officer was advised that store security observed the 25 yr old Barrie male enter the store and select a 51 televison from the Electronics Dept. The male was not observed leaving the store. A short time later the store security once again observed the same male select a blender and a 32″ televisoin but this time he was observed leaving the store without paying for the items. The male was arrested and returned to the loss prevention office. The officer spoke to the male who confessed to also stealing the 51″ Tv which is at his residence. The officer atteneded the residence with the male and retrieved the Tv. The male was charged with theft under of a totatl of $1416.00 and given a court date. The tv was then returned to Walmart unharmed.”
