While on routine patrol and officer observed a broken down vehicle in the area of Dunlop St. and Hart Drive. While speaking with the driver the officer observed an empty beer can on the vehicle floor and the driver had an odor of alcohol on his breath. Despite assurances by the driver that he had nothing to drink he failed the roadside test and was arrested for Over 80. The driver was brought to the Barrie Police Service where he blew over 1.5 times the legal limit. The driver has been charged with Over 80 and released with a March court date.
