On Saturday February 8, 2014 around 3pm, a 49 year old man entered the Valumart located at 385 Frederick Street in the city of Kitchener. The male was seen taking a quantity of merchandise without paying. When confronted by staff he became aggressive, and swung a knife towards them. No one sustained injuries and the male was arrested a short time later by e Waterloo Regional Police. The Kitchener male was charged with Theft under 5000, Weapons Dangerous, Assault with a Weapon and two counts of breach probation.
