(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On February 22, 2011 at approximately 9:15 am, a female high school student was approached by a male party who tried to convince her to get into his vehicle. The male never left his vehicle to approach the female. The female stopped at the COPE building for CHSS and texted a friend to walk with her. The male then re-appeared and again made contact with the female. After arriving safely at school, the student reported the incident.
Officers were able to determine the identity of the male and on February 23rd he was arrested after turning himself in to police. Edward MORRIS (57) of Central Huron has been charged with one count of Criminal Harassment and one count of Breach Probation.
