A Barrie Police Traffic officer was conducting speed enforcement on Yonge Street. He observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the curb lane passing slower vehicles on the roadway. Using a speed measuring device, he obtained a speed of 119km/h in the 50km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped a short distance away and as a result, the was driver charged with Stunt Driving and Speeding. His licence was suspended for 7 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days under Provincial legislation.
