On January 10, 2014, police responded to a disturbance on Sandy Street in Chatham. At this time, a 35-year-old woman reported that she had been assaulted by the man. The man fled the residence prior to police arrival and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Just before 6:00 p.m. yesterday, police located the man on Queen Street in Chatham and he was arrested. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was also found to be in possession of a small plastic baggie with a substance believed to be crystal meth. The 44-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with drug possession and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
