Stolen Car Recovered

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday March 01, 2011 at approximately 6:45 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were called to a residence on Anderson Lane in Mitchell where a resident reported his vehicle missing. The vehicle had been parked on the driveway and according to the resident it was locked. However the second set of keys for the vehicle was left in the glove box.

Shortly after 9 a.m. police received a call from a resident on Willow Lane in Mitchell advising that a vehicle had been abandoned in his driveway. It was confirmed that the abandoned vehicle was the stolen vehicle reported earlier. None of the vehicle’s contents were removed.
Investigation revealed that two males parked the vehicle on Willow Lane around 4 a.m. and walked in a southbound direction to the nature trail which runs along the Thames River.
