Three people were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries following a two vehicle collision at the intersection of 9th Avenue East and 10th Street East last evening.
A 2003 Chev Impala turning left from northbound 9th Avenue East onto 10th Street East struck a Dodge pickup truck travelling southbound 9th Avenue East through the intersection. The drivers of both vehicles and a passenger in the pickup truck were treated at hospital for minor injuries and have since been released. Both vehicles were damaged extensively and had to be towed from the scene.
Investigation revealed that both vehicles had entered the intersection on an amber light. As a result an 80 year old Owen Sound woman was charged with making an unsafe turn and a 19 year old London male was charged with disobey lane light.
