(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit has concluded this investigation into a collision that occurred on January 20th, 2014 on Smyth Road. This collision involved a vehicle travelling westbound on Smyth Road and a 16-year-old male pedestrian crossing the road.
The collision resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian. Collision Investigators were called to the scene.
Investigators have determined speed was not a factor in this collision. No charges will be laid and no names will be released.
The pedestrian has been released from hospital, has a long road to recovery but continues to improve.
The investigation is now closed with no further details.
