(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested 23 year old Justin FIELD. He was the subject of an arrest warrant from Huron County OPP for the following offences: Possession of a Controlled Substance, Fail to Attend Court, Fail to Comply with a Recognizance and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking.
Shortly after 1:00 p.m. on February 20, 2014 Huron County OPP officers along with assistance from the West Region Crime Unit, West Region Support Unit, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team and West Region Canine located FIELD and another wanted male at a restaurant in the Town of Goderich. FIELD fled the restaurant and after a short foot pursuit he was arrested in the back yard of a Gibbons Street residence. During the arrest he threatened to cause bodily harm to the arresting officer.
In addition to his outstanding charges he is also facing an Uttering Threats charge. He remains in police custody, with a court appearance scheduled for February 21, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
Also, a second wanted male was arrested at the restaurant without incident. Brandon WEITZEL, age 22, from London was wanted by London Police Service (LPS) for the offence of Fail to Comply with an Undertaking. He is now in the custody of London Police Service.
