The London Police Service has noticed an increase in break and enters to apartments in the Jalna Boulavard area and the areas near Western University. They are being facilitated by people letting strangers in through the front door.
If you live in an apartment, do not buzz people in unless they are coming to see you, and you know who they are. If your building is equipped with video monitoring, please check the cameras to ensure you are not letting strangers in.
If you are entering or leaving your building, do not allow people in. If they are there for legitimate purposes, they can make their own arrangements to gain entry.
The London Police Service encourages the public to protect yourself, your neighbours and your property by reporting any suspicious activity.
