On March 2, 2014 at 12:21a.m., the Guelph Police went to downtown business to investigate an assault. It is alleged that door security ejected a male from the licenced establishment. On exiting, the male and another male pushed the employee, knocking him to the ground and then began punching him. Patrons broke it up and the one male was secured until police arrived.
The victim was transported to the Guelph General Hospital where he received medical attention for his injuries.
Mitchell Thomas, 23 years of Acton has been charged with assault bodily harm. He will appear in court on April 11, 2014.
