Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision in the city of Cambridge.
On Friday February 28, 2014 at approximately 1:15 pm, emergency services responded to the area of Coronation Boulevard and Island View Road for a collision involving two motor vehicles.
A 2014 Ford Fusion being operated by a 28 year old Cambridge male was travelling southbound on Coronation Boulevard when it collided with an eastbound 2012 Ford Fusion driven by an 89 year old Cambridge man.
All parties suffered what appeared to be minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
However the 89 year old driver subsequently died in hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision.
Police have identified the deceased as Allen GREEN.
