Sunday March 2nd, 2014 at 9:26 am police responded to the area of Block Line Road and Homer Watson Boulevard, Kitchener reports of a small green car driving erratically. The driver was described as an elderly male in his 70’s with white hair and a mustache. Officers attended the area and were not able to locate the vehicle. At approximately 11:29 am police responded to the area of Upper Mercer Street, Kitchener regarding a suspicious person call. A male had been seen running up and down the street not wearing a coat and only one shoe. The male was located in a backyard in the area described as being in his late 50’s approximately 5’9”, short grey hair, unshaven wearing a blue sweat and grey track pants. The male is believed to be the same male involved in the earlier driving complaint. The male was transported to hospital as a result of exposure to the elements. A vehicle was located in the area fully engulfed in flames. Members of the Kitchener Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire. The investigation is continuing.
