Deer/Vehicle Collisions

(SOUTH BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – On March 20th, 2011 at 2:04 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a vehicle striking a deer along Highway 9 in Kincardine Township. The pick up truck required a tow, but the driver wasn’t injured. The South Bruce OPP is sending a warning to all residents of Southern Bruce County to watch for deer moving across the roadway. Deer are especially active during the Spring and Fall when they enter the mating season. They are particularly hard to spot at sunrise and sunset. Drivers are reminded to slow down, buckle up and scan both sides of the roadway as they drive.
