The Chatham-Kent police have arrested three teens in connection with a suspicious vehicle in Chatham early this morning.
Around 1:40 a.m. a citizen contacted police to report a suspicious white vehicle in the area of Smithfield Circle with unknown teens checking parked vehicles and entering a garage. An officer on general patrol observed the vehicle driving around the area with no lights on. The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation found the three teens in possession of stolen property from near-by residents.
A 19-year-old Windsor man, 19-year-old Sarnia man and 17-year-old Sarnia youth have all been charged with break and enter, theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. They have all been released pending a future court date.
