Occurrence #: BA14-012228
Date: Tuesday, March 18, 2014 – 12:00pm
On the 18th of March 2014 at approximately 12pm, Barrie Police were called to attend a residence in the downtown area regarding a domestic disturbance.
Upon police arrival it was determined that the male and female had recently dissolved their relationship and were in the process of dividing their assets and possessions. It is alleged that during the process the two parties began arguing over a pair of prescription glasses. The glasses belonged to the female but the male felt that because they were paid for through his benefit plan they belonged to him.
The two parties could not agree on the issue and the argument began to escalate. It is alleged at this time the male then grabbed the glasses from the females face and threw them to the ground causing the frames to crack and the lens to break.
The male was arrested by the police and charged for domestic mischief. The 30 year old Barrie male was held pending a bail hearing.
