15 Crashes Within 2 Hours

15 CRASHES WITHIN 2 HOURS
(PERTH COUNTY, ON) As wet snow covered area roadways drivers seemed to have forgotten to slow down and drive according to road and weather conditions. Between 7 and 9 p.m. on Sunday April 03, 2011, Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to 15 crashes which luckily resulted in only a few minor injuries. Of these 15 crashes, 11 were single motor vehicle collisions and the remaining 3 were multi vehicle collisions.
Of the three multi vehicle collisions the first took place around 7 p.m., on Hwy. 7/8 west of road 108 (West of Shakespeare). A West bound car lost control and as a result struck the side of an eastbound car. The drivers from Stratford and Toronto were brought to hospital to be checked out for minor injuries.
The second two vehicle crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on Perth Road 107 just north of Line 33 (South of Shakespeare). A car and an SUV collided causing extensive damage but the drivers from Woodstock and Tillsonburg did not sustain injuries.
A third two vehicle crash also took place shortly before 8 p.m. when a north bound car lost control on Hwy. 7 North of line 26 (South of Stratford) and struck a southbound SUV. Both drivers from Stratford were not injured.
Of the 12 single vehicle crashes, two involved crashes into trees, one was a rollover, one vehicle struck a deer and eight vehicles left the roadway and entered into the ditch. None of these 12 collisions resulted in injuries and they occurred all over The County.
