On March 23, 2014 at 4:53 p.m. a Guelph Police cruiser and a second vehicle were involved in a collision on Clair Road West . It is alleged that the cruiser was west bound on Clair Road just west of Gordon Street when it collided with another vehicle exiting a private drive. Three adults were taken to hospital where one was found to have a serious injury as defined under the Regulation of the Police Services Act. The S.I.U. was notified and have invoked their mandate. As usual, the Guelph Police will co-operate fully with the S.I.U. investigation. As regulated by the Police Services Act the S.I.U. will issue any further media releases on this matter until such time as a decision is rendered by the S.I.U.
