(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday March 27, 2014, shortly before 6 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash along Line 32 south west of Mitchell.
Investigation revealed that a Dodge pickup truck had been travelling west bound on Line 32, when it entered the north ditch, struck a hydro pole and rolled onto its side. The hydro pole was damaged and the lines were touching the ground. The male driver was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. The driver had been drinking and after a breath sample was analyzed he was issued a three day drivers licence suspension. He was also charged with careless driving.
Hydro One and Erie Thames Power attended and repaired the pole and lines. The pickup truck was totalled as a result of the crash
