On April 1, 2014 at 6:20 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a store within the Stone Road Mall to investigate an arrested shoplifter. It is alleged that the female took two boxes of perfume and then left the store without paying. A Loss Prevention Officer arrested her outside the store. Further investigation determined that the female was in breach of a condition on her probation order.
A 54-year-old female of no fixed address has been charged with theft under $5,000 and breach probation. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on April 2, 2014.
