(Ottawa) On Wednesday April 2nd, 2014 at approximately 3:50 PM The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit with the assistance of ERM Gatineau executed a 487 Criminal Code Search Warrant in the 200 block of Rue de Notre Dame-de-L’Ile. Investigators seized a loaded 9mm semi automatic Smith and Wesson pistol and a loaded .22 calibre Ruger revolver.
Four persons were arrested and will attend a show cause hearing on April 3rd, 2014.
1) Mohamud AHMED, 24 years old
2) Mohamed SHIRE, 24 years old
3) Ibrahim IMAN, 25 years old
4) Abdirashid MOHAMED, 24 years old
All the males were charged with 2 counts of:
CC 91(2) – Unlicensed Person Possess Prohibited Weapon
CC 92(1) – Possession of Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
CC 95(1) – Possession of Loaded Regulated Firearm
CC 117.01 Possess Firearm while Prohibited
