Seatbelt Charge For Passenger

(HURON TWP, ON) – On April 14th, 2011 at 2:00 pm, South Bruce OPP officers set up a vehicle check stop on Saratoga Road in Huron Township. At 3:30 pm, a Chevrolet Blazer stopped at the checkpoint and officers observed the passenger wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. A 17 year old from Huron Township has been charged with Passenger – Fail to wear seatbelt. The South Bruce OPP is reminding area motorists about the OPP Spring Seatbelt Campaign. All occupants of a vehicle, including passengers, are legally required to use a seatbelt. “If you’re not buckled up, what’s holding you back?”
