The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a male youth for failing to comply with his release conditions.
In February 2014, the youth was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to abide by a daily curfew of 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Around 4:20 a.m. this morning, an officer on general patrol observed the youth walking southbound on Lacroix Street in Chatham. The officer confirmed the youth’s curfew condition and he was arrested.
The 17-year-old Chatham youth has been charged with failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
