As a result of yesterdays media release, two previously unreported incidents were reported to police on Tuesday, both in the same area between Harrison Park and the Mill Dam.
In one incident, on Saturday, April 12th around noon, a female was observed inside a home by the homeowner who called out to them. The female retreated out the door and left the area. She was believed to be in the company of a 12 to 13 year old girl who was waiting on the street. Nothing was stolen from the home.
Suspect #1 : Female, 40’s, darker skin tone, 5’2†to 5’4†tall, thick-set build, with long black hair held back with a dark coloured head band, wearing an off-white raincoat, and black pants
Suspect #2: Female, 12 to 13 years old, similar height to older female, also darker skin tone, long black hair, wearing white jeans and a white hooded sweatshirt.
“We cannot stress enough the importance of contacting the police right away in these situations†“We want people to call us when they see suspicious people around their homes. Their observations and timely call to police could be the key to solving these crimesâ€Â
In another case, an attempted break and enter was reported to police that occurred within the last week. Culprits had attempted to gain entry through a ground level window however were unsuccessful. There was a small amount of damage to the window. This attempted entry was also in the same area as the previous incident.
