On April 21, 2014 at approximately 4:25 am robbery occurred at the Sobeys grocery store located at 585 Weber St. N. in the city of Waterloo. Two male suspects used a saw to access an ATM machine located at the store. The store was closed at the time but unlocked for employees working inside. An employee confronted the males who were attempting to access the ATM machine. He was threatened with a crowbar. The suspects removed cash from the machine and fled in a stolen truck. No injuries were incurred by employees as a result of this incident. The males are described as: Suspect #1 – light brown skin, approximately 40 years old, 5’8”, slim build, wearing a beige bandana to cover his face, he was wearing khaki pants and holding a crowbar. The second suspect is described as darker skinned, slim build wearing a hooded sweatshirt and possibly a construction shirt.
