(South Huron, ON) – The Huron OPP Crime Unit along with other members of the Huron OPP and the OPP Canine Unit caught a suspect red-handed at approximately 4:00 pm on May 10, 2011 after the accused was witnessed breaking into a vehicle in Exeter. Officers had been doing extra patrols in Exeter due to the recent rash of thefts from vehicles. The male fled on foot but police were able to contain him to an area where he was soon located and arrested.
Kyle LENSSEN (23) of Exeter is facing one count of Theft Under $5,000, one count of Mischief Under $5,000, one count of Resist Arrest and one count of Possession of Break In Tools. He has been held in custody and is facing a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 11, 2011. The investigation is continuing with regards to the previous offences and further charges are expected. LP11122357
