On April 25, 2014 officers from Waterloo Regional Police, Hamilton Police, Guelph Police, Stratford Police, Aylmer Police and OPP took part in a Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement initiative in the locations simultaneously around the Region of Waterloo. As a result 124 Commercial Vehicles were stopped and inspected resulting in 71 Highway Traffic Act charges being laid and 22 of those vehicles taken out of service. Some of the offences found were defective brakes on trucks and trailers, improper class of drivers licence, insecure loads, improper tires and failing to complete daily inspection reports.
