(KINCARDINE TWP, ON) – On May 26th, 2011 at 8:54 am, the South Bruce OPP was called to a 2 vehicle crash, involving a school bus, on Highway 21 in Kincardine Township. Officers arrived to find that a Subaru Sidekick had been travelling south bound on Highway 21 when it crossed the centre line, near the Kincardine Airport, and struck the side of north bound Ross Young school bus. There were no children on the bus at the time. Highway 21 was closed in both directions while road crews cleared oil from the surface of the road at the crash site. Highway 21 is now open to traffic. The Sidekick driver, 31 year old Jared HIGGINS of Kincardine, received minor injuries in the crash. After being checked at hospital, he was charged with Careless driving.
